Absolutely blown away by this restaurant. The kindest and most responsive staff (Renee, thank you!), the best food and atmosphere. They had an incredible gluten free bolognese and a wood fired pizza that my husband raved about. 10/10 recommend for a delicious option in Baldwin.
Great atmosphere. Pricey, but it was a great experience. I had the walleye and my wife had the flat iron steak. Both were very good. Drinks were worthy of the menu. We will be coming back for the wood fired pizza. They look awesome.
A fantastic spot for a fantastic bite! We tried the baked walleye, halibut, and the strawberry rhubarb dessert. All was fantastic!! Service was great, and the back patio was perfect today. Absolutely worth the price and then some!
Our first experience with this new hidden gem in Baldwin was impressive. Delicious, flavorful food; a fabulous Old Fashioned; and super friendly service. The atmosphere has a stylish "nature meets classy" feel without being overly conservative or too relaxed. We will definitely be returning to explore their menu more.
I absolutely love 876! The wait staff are so nice and have such great positive personalities. But the drinks and food are "chefs kiss" The manager came to check on us and she was just such a nice person, and so informative on the food. I will definitely come back!
This was such a cool little spot! Excellent food - the quality was superb! Food and drinks were delicious. Very friendly waitstaff. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone, local or out of town!
This is a beautiful restaurant. From the artwork to the lighting. A great spot for a date. The service was friendly and prompt. And this is, by far, the best food we've had in the area. I had the Baked Walleye. It was flavorful and served with pasta with capers and olives and mussels in the shell. He had the 8-layer lasagna, which was delicious and rich. We had room for dessert and got the Pumpkin/Chocolate Mousse Cake. So good that even though we only had 3 bites left, we took it home. Ha! We'll definitely be back to this little gem in Baldwin.
876 has become our favorite place to eat anywhere. We live too far away so for now it has to be a special treat when up north. If A2 had this place, we would go every week! There are other places around with good walleye, for example, but the walleye dish at 876 is my favorite ANYWHERE. I'm a big eater liking adequate portions, and I'm picky about fish, as a pesceterian. That said, I've only broken my habit once to eat beef in the past ten years - the ropa vieja (cuban beef briscuit) at 876. Totally worth it - I'm jealous anytime someone with me gets it. We have been coming now for years and have had almost the whole menu. It's all great food so there's no bad choice. I often plan to get the harvest pizza (or another one), but just end up getting the perfect walleye again. We recently (finally) went for Sunday brunch time - amazing omelette, gooey pancakes - forgot to get pics until already mowing through them. We have always had great service and attention from the staff (including the chef!) and friendly management. Though more familiar older staff were always great to us, it's also been a pleasure getting to know some of the new young staff who are clearly learning quickly. They may not have the life experience regarding fancy cocktails for some, but attentive service and genuine effort matter most for us - so we love the staff. I like that they've hired some young locals - and I expect to hear great things someday about our new, motivated young server after he graduates from college - we hope he stays at 876 until then! We've brought family and friends and had great visits, and will be doing so again this weekend - assuming we can get in!
Excellent dining in Baldwin! The bar is also fully stocked with top shelf spirits. Our server was also great. Had the smothered chicken with mushroom risotto and my husband had the walleye - both were excellent!
Tonight was a wonderful experience. What began with a gift certificate to 876 and zero expectations, turned into an exceptional dinner. The food here is so well prepared, with fresh ingredients,and an authentic taste. We started with the Mussels, House salad (made with real lettuce, not iceberg, carrots, cukes, tom, onion, and goat cheese Italian dressing). The pizza was perfect, again with fresh ingredients and a garlic flavored white sauce. We finished with what was quite literally the best tiramisu I have ever had. Apparently this was the owners Grand mothers (from Italy of course) recipe. And not that this matters a lot, but the heated toilet seats in the bathroom....what???!! Seriously though, this place was a neat find and a place to experience if you like really good, well made food that has authentic flavor. I would make a reservation. We didn't have a wait because there was a snow storm happening, however during nice weather this place must be busy.
